Gabriella Reyes, first year Opera Institute soprano and student of Penelope Bitzas, has just advanced to the Finals of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions! The Finals will be held in New York Sunday, March 19. On March 12, Gabriella was selected from the National Semi-Finals, where 23 singers performed and only 9 were selected to advance. This comes after an amazing performance last month when she was announced the winner of the New England Regional MONC auditions. She is an inspiration for BU students and opera singers around the country. Brava Gabriella!
