World Premiere Film Screening and Post-Viewing Talk-Back
Date and Time: Monday, September 16, 7pm (Run Time: 57 minutes)

The film features Professor Gifford’s dancing history and shows how he became, and continues to be, at 93 years old, a teacher for actors and musical conductors around the world.
“Legacy is a new form of documentary depicting the major aspects of a person’s life, and the influences and impact it has had on other people and, in this case, Joe’s personal journey through his rich career path in performing and teaching,” says Jill Uchiyama, filmmaker. “The film brings out Joseph’s teaching model and theories that he has developed and used with dancers, actors, and conductors for over 50 years.”
The screening will be followed by a talk-back with Professor Gifford and Jill Uchiyama, moderated by dance critic Debra Cash.
