Danny Bryck, playwright & actor Benjamin Juarez, artistic director & conductor. A musical and dramatic spectacle of the inner journey of an American soldier in Afghanistan whose experiences strangely mirror those found in Don Quixote. Flamenco dances and sorrowful songs, Turkish rhythms and chants, and European Renaissance music are intertwined as the story unfolds. From the series Cervantine Stories, Quixotic Moments to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the publication of Don Quixote de la Mancha (1615–2015). Featuring Eloy Cruz, baroque guitar, Mexico; Ismael “El Bola,” flamenco singer, Spain; and George Lernis, Mediterranean music performer, Turkey. This event is free and open to the public at the Tsai Performance Center Thursday, April 16th at 7:30pm.
